Lemon Water

I was recently ill with a virus, sore throat and a stuffy nose.  All I wanted was something spicy.  Cayenne pepper seemed to be calling my name. Burn, baby, burn this virus away.  I made a concoction of hot water, squeeze of lemon juice, pinch of cayenne pepper, and honey in a coffee cup.  This warm drink helped to ease my sore throat and relaxed me.

According to some sources, warm lemon water may be beneficial in aiding digestion, flushing out the urinary tract, and boosts the immune system.

All I know is I enjoyed this comfort drink on a cold Winter’s day.
